Smolagents (HuggingFace)

A minimalist Agent framework from HuggingFace with very little code (core about 1000 lines), supporting Code Agent mode (directly generates Python code for execution) instead of tool calling, resulting in higher inference efficiency. Supports OpenAI/Anthropic/local models, especially suitable for research and rapid prototyping.
