2026 Beijing BAAI Conference Opens, Focusing on World Models and Physical AGI

On June 12, 2026, the 8th Beijing BAAI Conference opened at Zhongguancun International Innovation Center. The conference, characterized by 'technology frontiers, international perspectives, and young talent,' gathered two Turing Award winners, over 40 AI company CEOs and chief scientists, more than 200 top experts and scholars, and over 30 young scientists under 30. BAAI President Wang Zhongyuan presented the annual progress report, launching the world's first general-purpose world foundation model, Wujie·Physis-v0.1, and systematically outlined the technical taxonomy of world models. The conference also released achievements such as the multimodal neuroscience model Wujie·Brainμ1.0 and the AI-driven drug discovery model Wujie·OpenComplex2.5, showcasing the technological leap from 'Wudao' to 'Wujie'.
